LODGES AND ECO-TOURISM

On the exterior the main characteristics of the Jozini Bush Lodge Design are a Wrap-Around-Deck at seat height and 2 Pergola Covered Areas, one on the North East for winter and one on the South East side for summer. The hipped roof with large overhangs that provide good shading all around is to be made of timber shingles, or shakes that will help blend the building into the beautiful natural environment. The typical Swazi thatched beehive tops were an inspiration for the roof, which is designed to extract the hot air and draw the naturally cooled air up through the structure.

On the interior large open plan spaces (Living / Dining / Kitchen) with high ceilings (finished with timber or local Swazi Grass Mats) define the flow throughout the lodge. The Bedrooms which can optionally lead off the living or kitchen space all have en-suite bathrooms and outside shower areas integrated. Furthermore the design of the lodge allows for maximised views of the spectacular surroundings from all the rooms and living spaces.
