HOSTEL FOR SOCIAL CHANGE
After alterations to The Backpack in Cape Town, users can now enjoy the health benefits of non-toxic wood treatment and finishes. Unhealthy materials were avoided such as fiberglass roof insulation and insecticide treated timbers. Water and energy efficiency has increased greatly since retrofitting water efficient shower heads and multi-flush toilets.
